OBITUARY: Mercy A. Ndakwe, 50

CEHLMSFORD, MA — Mercy Auchu Ndakwe, 50, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital.

She was born in Cameroon, the daughter of Mathew Tah and Salley Ngoh Tah of Cameroon. Mercy came to the United States in 1998 and later became a proud U.S. citizen. She earned her associate’s degree from First Choice Nursing School in Nashua, New Hampshire. She worked as a nurse at CareOne of Lowell and AdviniaCare in Wilmington.

Mercy was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Cameroon (PCC) Boston in Burlington, Massachusetts, and was one of the founding members of the Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF) Boston. She was also actively involved in the Cameroonians of Lowell Association (CAMOLA), the Cameroon Northwest Women of New England (CAMNOWNE), and the Meta Cultural and Development Association (MECUDA).

In her spare time, Mercy enjoyed singing, praising God, dancing, gardening, traveling, shopping, cooking, and had a deep love for fashion and beauty.

Mercy is survived by her two children, Beverly Ndakwe of Dracut, Massachusetts, and Harrison Ndakwe of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves behind her mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends and connections.
