OBITUARY: Charlotte Ann Nagle, 85

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — Charlotte Ann Nagle, a beautiful, strong, and unforgettable woman who brought joy and laughter to so many, passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2026 after a battle with cancer.

Born in Stoneham, Massachusetts on December 30th, 1940 to Frederick and Cecilia Nagle; she was raised in Malden, one of six children in a close-knit family. She was the loving sister of the late Fred Nagle, Patricia Walker, the late Geraldine Nagle, Jacqui Thomas, and Gordon Nagle.

Charlotte later married Henry Colella, and together they raised three sons. She made Wilmington, Massachusetts her home for more than 50 years, where she became a cherished part of her neighborhood and community. She loved where she lived and valued the friendships, she built with the many neighbors who became part of her extended family.

She dedicated over 30 years of her career to Instrumentation Laboratories in Lexington, Massachusetts, where she was known for her hard work and warm personality.

In retirement, she remained as active and spirited as ever. She enjoyed keeping herself busy with both big and small projects around the house, spending time in her garden, and caring for her beloved dog, Jake. She especially enjoyed visits to the Cape with friends and family, creating many happy memories along the way. Frequenting Savers for a special deal or a great project find on Facebook Marketplace kept her busy and sharp.

Charlotte was a proud and loving “Meme” to her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.

Holidays were always special when Charlotte was around. She had a unique gift for making family gatherings memorable, often entertaining everyone with a funny outfit, a playful gag gift, or one of her signature antics, ensuring that there was always laughter around the table.

Charlotte was truly one of a kind – an independent woman who showed no signs of slowing down even in her later years. Her smile, quick wit, and lively spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was deeply loved by her family, friends, and neighbors. Her smile, humor, and strength will forever live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her three sons: Ronald and his wife Anna of Cleveland, Ohio; Vincent and his wife Nancy of Wilmington, MA; and Kenneth and his wife Lisa, also of Wilmington. She was the proud grandmother of Justin and his wife Elizabeth; Adam and his wife Kimberly; Nicholas and his companion Krysta Bilodeau; and Patricia and her fiancé Riley Carlton. She was also the cherished great-grandmother of Tucker, Beckham, and David.

We love you, Mom. Rest in peace.

A private celebration life will be held in the coming months to honor Charlotte’s memory. Donations can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
