WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Friday, March 6, 2026:

The Wilmington Sons and Daughters of Italy and WHS Band Parents are hosting their Annual Comedy Night at the Wilmington-Tewksbury Elks on 777 South Street in Tewksbury for a donation of $25 per person. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 9pm, hosted by Wilmington’s own Steve Bjork and featuring headliner Mike Hanley with Emily Ruskowski and Ethan Printz. Attendees are encouraged to bring munchies for their table and there will be a cash bar, plus raffles and a silent auction.  An Improv Night fundraiser will take place from 6pm to 10pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Pre-show entertainment will feature seniors and friends from the WHS Strings Orchestra, Soundscape and Lamplighters. Cash bar. Bring snacks. Tickets cost $35 at the door. All proceeds provide scholarships to graduating seniors and funding in support of the strings, chorus and drama programs.

The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is also holding the following classes and activities: Zumba (9am); Fall Assessments (9am);  Just Stretch (10am); Sewing (noon); Chair Yoga (noon); Women’s Billiards (12:30pm); Professional Keys Performance (1pm); Poker (1pm); Chess (1pm); and Fit N Trim (1:30pm). The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Needleworkers (10am); Playful Pathways: All Aboard (11am); and LEGO Building (3:45pm).

The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
