Needleworkers at Night

These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

Streaming Services and Other Alternatives to Cable
Monday, March 9, 7pm
Come join Technology Librarian Brad as he presents alternatives to cable such as Netflix and the library. While not all free, the alternatives will save you quite a bit of money every month.

Cookin’ The Books
Tuesday, March 10, 12pm
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes, then this group is for you! Grab a copy of the cookbook, register on the library’s event calendar, and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! Featured Cookbook: A Splash of Soy by Lara Lee

Slice & Dice- A Pizza and Table Top Game Night
Tuesday, March 10, 6pm
Join Librarians Mary and Marie for Slice & Dice, our monthly pizza and table top game night for adults. Each month, we’ll kick off with a featured game, followed by open play where you can explore our game library or bring your own favorites to share with the group!

Craft & Chat
Wednesday, March 11, 6pm
Enjoy making a craft while socializing with others! This craft group meets the second Wednesday of the month at 6pm. All craft supplies will be provided.

Fun & Function of iPhone
Thursday, March 12, 2:30pm
Whether you’re new to the iPhone or looking to unlock its hidden potential, this session will cover essential tips, tricks, and features to make your device both practical and enjoyable.

Connect with a Social Worker
Thursday, March 12, 6-8pm
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.

Spring is on the Way and So Are the Birds!
Thursday, March 12, 6:30pm
The Spring migration is right around the corner and now is the time to practice learning about the avian jewels that will be pouring through our area starting in April. Join presenter Dave Williams as he will explore the colorful songbirds that either breed here or pass through on their journey North.

French Conversation Group
Thursday, March 12, 7pm
Join us to speak French with other francophiles! This is a new monthly group for anyone who loves to speak and listen to French. Join volunteer group leader Nathalie Hayduk for this stress-free, low-key group to speak French on a more regular basis. After this first meeting, this group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm. Please note that this is not a French Class.

Worlds Within Words

Graphic Novel Book Club

Are you ready, graphic novel fans?! Join our book club to discuss one book each month, do a related activity, share a special snack, and decide on the next book choice. This month’s graphic novel: Molly and the Bear by Bob Scott and Vicki Scott. Grades 3-5.

Preschool Storytime

Join us at our Preschool Storytime! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 3-6

Music with Dara
Wednesday, March 11, 10am
With keyboard, felt board, and finger puppets, Dara weaves songs (old and new favorites) and creative movement for a fun-filled musical program! Ages 2-5, siblings welcome.

Early Release Teen Movie & Pizza
Wednesday, March 11, 12pm
Enjoy the early release day with pizza and a movie at WML! We’ll vote on a movie from a few choices. Grades 6-12

Baby Time

Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months
