WILMINGTON, MA — Jessica Marie Weber, age 49, of Wilmington, MA, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 2, 2026, due to a recurring brain tumor.
Jessica was born on December 23, 1976, in York, NE; she was the cherished daughter of her parents who survive her, Cynthia Lynn (Russell) Weber of York, NE and Greg Alan Weber of Bradshaw, NE.
Jessica graduated from York High School, York, NE in 1995, with honors, after spending a year in Austria, as a foreign exchange student. Following her high school graduation, Jessica bravely ventured from her small hometown to begin her higher education at Bentley College in Waltham, MA. There, she gained her bachelor’s in International Economics and earned several accolades such as Falcon Society and admission to the President’s Club. She graduated with the Class of 1999, with high honors.
Despite her distance from home, Jessica was able to find countless life-long friends and began her family in Massachusetts. Jessica settled in Wilmington, MA, where she raised her two sons and was very active in the community. Her boys knew their mother’s love was unconditional and that after any accomplishments, Jessica was the first to tell them just how proud she was of them.
Jessica was also very giving of her time and talents to the community; she was actively involved in the Rotary Club, Sole Sisters Running Club, Boy Scouts Den Mom, and the Wilmington High School Cross Country and Track & Field Booster Club.
Jessica’s smile exuded joy and radiated happiness. Jessica’s energy could fill a room. She gave all she had to make the party come alive. Her huge heart made everyone feel welcome and safe. Jessica was your biggest supporter when you felt you had no one else in your corner, and a friend to everyone she met.
Jessica was a devoted mother. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons Thomas Jameson Burns and Conor Roger Burns, both of Wilmington, MA. “Sissy” to Maggie (Joel) Troester of York, NE and John (Mackenzie) Weber of Scottsdale, AZ, aunt of Hailey (Nic) Pettygrove of York, NE and their children Emmett and Jessy, Maxx (Sydney) Troester of Lincoln, NE, Libby Troester of York, NE, Mitchell Weber and Hank Weber both of Scottsdale, AZ. Jessica is also survived by her former husband and friend Thomas Sean Burns (Katherine) and daughter Isla of Wilmington, MA and his parents Thomas and Margo Burns of Suffield, CT, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her grandparents on both sides.
Jessica’s visitation will be held on Saturday, February 28th at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. followed by a gathering at Tremezzo Ristorante, 2 Lowell St., Wilmington, MA, at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessica’s memory may be made to Sole Sisters Running Club, P.O. Box 485, Wilmington, MA 01887 or to the Wilmington High School Cross Country and Track & Field Booster Club, 9 Cobalt St., Wilmington, MA 01887.
Jessica’s Nebraska Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 13th from 3:00-8:00 at Chances R’ Restaurant’s “Beer Garden”, 124 W 5th Street, York, NE.
