RACE FOR THE SIXTH: Over 80% Of Tram Nguyen’s 2025 Fundraising Haul Came From Massachusetts

Below is a press release from the Tram Nguyen for Congress campaign:

ANDOVER, MA — State Representative Tram Nguyen recently announced raising more than $257,000 in 2025 in her campaign to represent the Massachusetts 6th Congressional District. She closed the year with over a quarter of a million dollars raised from 1,185 individual donors, and over 80% of all money raised came from in-state supporters.

“I want to thank every supporter who has joined this campaign,” said Rep. Nguyen in a statement. “Many of my supporters, like me, come from a working-class background, and count on every paycheck. I am so proud of the grassroots movement we are creating to win this race. Together, we are building a people-powered campaign that puts working families first, stands up to special interests and a broken establishment, and proves that when everyday people come together, we can win. We’ve done it before, and we will do it again.”

Since her launch, Rep. Nguyen has received endorsements from the MA Speaker of the House Ron Mariano, in-district State Representatives Manny Cruz, Dawne Shand, Rich Haggerty, and Dave Robertson, a litany of Salem local electeds, UAW International, all four UFCW locals in MA, the Boston Carmen’s Union 589, and IBEWs 1505, 2325, and 2321.

About Tram T. Nguyen

State Representative Tram Nguyen has overcome tough challenges her entire life. At just five years old, Tram came to the United States as a refugee after her family fled Vietnam’s authoritarian regime with only $100, a few suitcases, and a dream. She is the first in her family to graduate from college, earning degrees from Tufts University, Northeastern School of Law, and the Harvard Kennedy School.

Before entering public service, Tram served as an attorney at Greater Boston Legal Services, where she led the Civil Legal Assistance for Victims of Crime program. She stood up for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, veterans, immigrants, low-wage workers, and people with disabilities—people who needed not just a lawyer but a relentless advocate. In that role, Tram became a member of UAW Local 2320.

In 2018, Tram took on a deeply entrenched Republican incumbent and won by ten points, making history as the first Vietnamese American woman ever elected to public office in Massachusetts. Since then, she has served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives as a bold champion for climate action, affordable housing, workers’ rights, and economic opportunity for all.

Tram Nguyen’s journey from refugee to state leader is a testament to the power of resilience, the promise of opportunity, and the belief that when we fight for one another, we all rise together.
