Below is an obituary from Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home:
WARREN, ME (formerly of WILMINGTON,MA) — Patricia “Trisha” Stygles, age 64, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, holding her daughter’s hand.
Trisha was born on March 24, 1961, the daughter of the late Daniel Stygles and Ann (O’Brien) Stygles. One of seven children, she spent her childhood on Jones Avenue in Wilmington, where she made lifelong memories with her brothers, sisters, and the Sullivan and Sinopoli families.
Trisha was a devoted and selfless mother to her “baby girls,” Melissa and Danielle. Though she faced the profound grief of losing Melissa at the age of four to Tetralogy of Fallot, Trisha never wavered in her love and care for Danielle. She was a wonderful mother who gave everything of herself, always putting her daughter’s needs above her own struggles.
In 2017, Trisha stepped into the role she was truly made for: becoming a “Nana” to her grandson, Sawyer. To be closer to Danielle and Sawyer, Trisha and her mother, Ann, moved to Maine, sharing an apartment just below Danielle’s family. This allowed Trisha to be a constant presence in their daily lives. She and Sawyer shared an inseparable bond; he was proudly “her boy.” Not long after, she welcomed her second grandson, Lennox.
Trisha was a fixture at every milestone. She could be found coloring, building blocks, or engaging in spirited Nerf battles with her boys. She was always ready with a juice box and a snack, enjoying their company above all else. Trisha’s proudest achievements in life were the titles of Mother and Nana.
Trisha was a remarkably caring person who loved deeply and was known for her kindness and ever-present smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Ann Stygles. Trisha was the beloved mother of Danielle Stygles-Flynn and her husband Nicholas Flynn, and the late Melissa Holloway. She was the devoted Nana of Sawyer and Lennox Flynn. She is survived by her siblings: Carol Boudreau and her husband Robert; Daniel J. Stygles, Jr. and his wife Nancy; John “Jackie” Stygles and his wife Carol; James “Jamie” Stygles and his late wife Joy; Joseph Stygles and his wife Debbie; and Colleen Otis and her husband Mark. She is also survived by her best friend, Sandy McFeeters, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
