WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington voters will go the polls on Saturday, April 25, 2026 to elect two Select Board members, two School Committee members, and two Housing Authority meetings.
As of the morning of Friday, January 23, 2026, Town Clerk’s Office reports that five residents have pulled nomination papers to get onto the ballot.
Wilmington Select Board Race
Both Select Board incumbents — Frank West and Gary DePalma — have pulled nomination papers to run for another term. Political newcomer Sivakumar Mallaiysamy — who works for Oracle and has an MBA from UMass Lowell — has also pulled papers.
Wilmington School Committee Race
Both School Committee incumbents — Jennifer Bryson and Michael Mercaldi — have pulled nomination papers to run for another term. No challengers have emerged to date.
Wilmington Housing Authority
No residents have pulled nomination papers for either Housing Authority seat. The 5-year seat is currently held by Lori Penney. The other seat is currently vacant, and the election winner will serve out the unexpired 4 years remaining on the term.
The Shawsheen Tech School Committee seats and Town Moderator position will not appear on the 2026 ballot.
Nomination papers are still available in the Town Clerk’s Office. The last day to submit nomination papers, with at least 50 valid signatures from Wilmington voters, is Friday, March 6, 2026 by 4:30pm.
The Annual Town Election will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, form 8am to 8pm. Precincts 1, 2 and 3 vote at the Senior Center (130 Main Street), and Precincts 4, 5 and 6 vote at the new Town Hall (146 Middlesex Avenue).
The last day to register to vote is Wednesday, April 15, 2026 by 5pm.
