OBITUARY: Gwen Marie Evans, 55

WILMINGTON, MA — Gwen Marie (Pillsbury) Evans, age 55, a life-long resident of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026.

Gwen was born on November 16, 1970, in Melrose, MA; she was the cherished daughter of Linda (Smith) Pillsbury and Douglas Pillsbury. Gwen was raised in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School.

Gwen made her home in Wilmington, where she raised her three children, Allysha, Jimmy, and Joey alongside her spouse, James.

Gwen found her greatest joy on trips to the beach, especially when shared with her beloved dog. Whether walking along the shoreline or spending quiet hours fishing, she cherished the peace, freedom, and simple happiness those moments brought her.

Gwen was the loving mother of Allysha Moores & her husband Doug, Jimmy Evans, all of Andover, and Joey Evans of Wilmington, grandmother of Mila and Jaxson Moores, dear sister of Heather Zaccagnini & her husband Mark.

Gwen is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her special dog, Charlie.

Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Wednesday, January 28th from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
