5 Things To Do In Wilmington On Thursday, January 22, 2026: Shrek The Musical Jr. 3-Day Run Begins; Blood Drive At Knights

The Wilmington Middle School Drama Club is excited to present “Shrek The Musical Jr.” on Thursday, January 22, 2026 and Friday, January 23, 2026 at 6:30pm and on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 4pm in the Joanne M. Benton Auditorium at Wilmington High School (159 Church Street). This show is fun for the whole family. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for children, students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment. Donors can also visit http://www.redcross.org to schedule an appointment.

The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following events and activities: Gentle Yoga (9am); Art (9:45am); Massage Sessions (10am); Weight Loss Support (10am); Meditation (10am); Knitting & Crocheting (10:30am); Chair Yoga (11:30am); Cardio Drum Fit (1pm); Ceramics (1:30pm); and Chair Yoga/Pilates (2pm). The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Baby Time (10am); Connect with a Social Worker (6pm); and “Dry January” Mocktail Making (6:30pm).

TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
