WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for January 17, 2026

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, January 17, 2026:

A caller reported a vehicle struck the railroad crossing pole on Glen Road. Another vehicle’s tire came off, causing driver to swerve and crash into pole. Police notified Keolis. Vehicles were operable. (10:30am)

Sonny’s Mobil on the Run called to report a past hit and run, which they have on video. (11:24am)

A caller struck a pole on Ballardvale Street. Vehicle was towed. No injuries noted. RMLD, Verizon and Comcast were notified. (2:46pm)

A caller reported that while at the dog park around 3:30pm, his daughter slipped on the ice and was brought to Lahey and then Boston Children’s Hospital. Caller noted other people were falling as well due to the ground conditions. Police contacted DPW and Animal Control Officer, who noted the dog park is closed during this time of year. (7:56pm)
