Below is a press release from Troop 56, Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, MA — Nathan Carriere, of Wilmington, has earned Scouting America’s highest advancement award, the Eagle Scout Award.
A member of Scouting America Troop 56, Wilmington, Carriere is one of only approximately 6 percent of all Boy Scouts who attain the Eagle rank, according to Scoutmaster Dave Adamek.
Nathan Carriere started his scouting journey as a Tiger in Cub Scout Pack 361, Wilmington and continued his rise to success in Troop 56, Wilmington.
Eagle Scout candidates must earn a minimum of 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community, church, or synagogue-related service project to earn his Eagle. Carriere chose to organize the installation of a much needed bike rack at Wilmington Middle School. He had to make a proposal and get approval at a Select Board meeting, coordinate with the DPW for the location and size of the bike rack, secure donations and materials, and lead a group of scouts and adults in preparing the site, pouring a concrete pad, and securing the rack. The bike rack was completed in June of 2025 and is used daily by students and others.
Troop 56, Wilmington extends their heartiest congratulations to their newest Eagle Scout, Nathan Carriere.
