WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Monday, January 5, 2026:
Police removed a deceased owl from Bridge Lane (8:21am) and a deceased hawk from Reading Avenue (12:14pm).
A vehicle struck a pole, snapping it in half, on Burlington Avenue. Police and Fire responded. RMLD and Verizon notified. Vehicle towed. Details officers assisted with traffic. (2:50pm)
A caller reported a bird was in the area of McGovern Hyundai on Main Street and could not fly because it had a bag around its neck. Police were unable to locate. (3:39pm)
A vehicle crashed into the island at the Route 62/Woburn Street intersection. Vehicle towed. Plates confiscated. Driver issued citation for unregistered vehicle. (10:52pm)
