The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) will be passing out the File of Life packets and assist everyone in filling out the forms at 11am. The File of Life is an informational packet that residents keep on their refrigerators and a smaller version for when they go out. The packet is highly visible to first responders and contains the person’s medical information in the event of an emergency. Learn more HERE.
The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is also holding the following classes and activities: Zumba (9am); Just Stretch (10am); Sewing (noon); Chair Yoga (noon); Italian Luncheon (12:30pm); Women’s Billiards (12:30pm); Poker (1pm); Chess (1pm); and Fit N Trim (2pm). Learn more HERE.
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Music with Dara (10am); Needleworkers (10am); and LEGO Building (3:45pm). Also, the Library will have no internet, printing, or copying services from 2pm to 5pm.
The Youth Ministry of the Parish of the Transfiguration is holding a Veterans Dinner on Friday, at 6pm at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). Pasta, meatballs, rolls, salad, dessert, coffee and soda will be served. Raffles will be available. Registration is now closed.
The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
