WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Tuesday, December 9, 2025:
A caller reported a manhole cover was loose and sticking up on Catherine Avenue. He ran over it and got a flat tire. Police was able to resecure the cover. (5:19am)
A caller reported he was cut off in the area of Lowell Street and Woburn Street. He had to slam on his brakes, which caused his dog to slam into the windshield, causing it to crack. Dog was OK. (11:32am)
A 2-vehicle crash involving a school bus occurred at Lowell Street and Cross Street. Bus had no students on it. Bus was towed, which was arranged by North Reading Transportation. Driver of other involved vehicle was cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic. (3:44pm)
