Slice & Dice- A Pizza and Table Top Game Night
Tuesday, December 2, 6-8pm
Join Librarians Mary and Marie for Slice & Dice, our monthly pizza and table top game night for adults. Each month, we’ll kick off with a featured game, followed by open play where you can explore our game library or bring your own favorites to share with the group!

An English Country Dance
Thursday, December 4, 6:30pm
Come dance with us like it’s 1811! No experience or partner necessary, we will learn as we go with some guidance from English Dance caller, Sue Rosen. Wear anything from workout clothes to regency attire – but don’t forget a pair of comfortable shoes!

Youth Programs

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, December 1, 10am
Join Community Teamwork Family Resource Network for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

Preschool Storytime
Tuesday, December 2, 10am
Join us at our Preschool Storytime! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 3-6

Time for Twos
Wednesday, December 3, 10am
Time for Twos includes books, rhymes, music and movement for children aged 2! Age 2

Drop-In Chess
Wednesday, December 3, 3pm
Join the WHS Chess Club for low stakes, pickup chess games at the library! All skills levels are welcome. All ages (recommended for grade 6 & up)

Santa Claus is Coming to the Library!
Wednesday, December 3, 5pm
Drop-in and listen to Santa read stories this holiday season! You can even get your picture taken with the jolly man himself! All Ages

Baby Time
Thursday, December 4, 10am
Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months

LEGO Building
Friday, December 5, 3:45pm
Build with LEGOs at the same time as other LEGO fans and display what you make in the library! Grades K-5

Elevenses Tea Time for Kids!
Saturday, December 6, 10:30am
Enjoy “tea”, snacks, and activities to celebrate Jane Austen’s 250th birthday! Dress in your finest for this fun tea party at the library and pour tea (juice) for your friends, eat pastries and complete crafts. We’ll even play board games and group games like Simon Says! Grades K-5

Happening Now: Fleece Fest Collection!
Grown out of your winter coat? Donate it to the library’s winter coat drive to help it find a new home! Bring lightly worn kids (incl. babies & toddlers) and teen coats to the library between 11/1-12/8. Come back on December 13, from 10am-4pm to pick out a new coat (no donation required).

New Resource: Peterson’s Test & Career Prep!
Wilmington Memorial Library has a new resource- Peterson’s Test & Career Prep! With Person’s Test & Career Prep, you can search thousands of colleges and graduate schools, identify scholarships, take practice tests, create resumes and explore careers, all for free with your library card! Book Store Next Door
Celebrate the winter holidays with the Friends of the Library Bookstore Next Door! All November and December holiday-themed books are half-off to help you give the gift of literature this season. While the store will be open for last-minute shopping on Saturday, Dec. 20, it will be closed the following dates: Wednesday, Nov. 26, Wednesday, Dec. 24, Saturday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 31. In January, the Bookstore Next Door will be open Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through March.

WML In-Person & Virtual Programming
