Wilmington Rotary’s Annual Live Auction and $10,000 Raffle Drawing will be held at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Doors open at 6PM and the live auction begins at 7PM. Come enjoy a fun night out, get a start on your holiday shopping, and help support the work Rotary does in our community, including awarding over $750,000 to date in college scholarships to Wilmington students. $100 raffle tickets for the $10,000 Raffle (plus other cash prizes) are still available. The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following classes and activities: Zumba (9am); Pickleball (9am); Fall Assessments (9am); Movie (10am); Bocce (10am); Just Stretch (11am); Sewing (noon); Chair Yoga (noon); Women’s Billiards (12:30pm); Poker (1pm); Chess (1pm); Corn Hole (1:30pm); and Fit N Trim (2pm). The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Needleworkers (10am); Playful Pathways: Our House (11am); and Switch It Up! Video Game Club (3:45pm).
TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
