WILMINGTON, MA — The three finalists for the permanent Wilmington School Superintendent search were announced at last week’s School Committee Meeting:
— Dr. Patricia Haynes is currently the Assistant Superintendent in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. She holds a BS and an MS from Central Connecticut State University, an Administrative Certification from Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, a Superintendent Certification from Northwest Nazarene University in Idaho, and a PhD in Education from Capella University in Minnesota.
— Dr. Brandi Kwong is currently the Superintendent in Methuen, Massachusetts. She holds both a BA and an MA from Boston College in Massachusetts, and a Doctorate of Education from UMass Lowell in Massachusetts.
— Mr. Matthew Poska is currently the Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education
in Nashua New Hampshire. He holds a BA from Merrimack College in Massachusetts
and an MA from Salem State University in Massachusetts.
The Screening Committee, which received 17 applications, selected 7 semi-finalists and interviewed them on October 21, October 23 and October 29. The Screening Committee unanimously voted to recommend the 3 semifinalists to the School Committee.
The School Committee will hold interviews with the 3 semifinalists on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 5:30pm and Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 5:30pm. Following site visits and reference checks, the School Committee will then meet on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 6:30pm to deliberate and make the hiring decision. All interviews and meetings will take place in the High School’s Large Instruction Room and are open to the public.
