The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge #2070 is hosting a luncheon for Veterans who have served and those who are still serving, along with their family and friends, from noon to 2pm, at the Elks Lodge (777 South Street). Veterans eat free. Family and friends are charged $5. Raffle tickets will be available for $1 each and 6 for $5. The event will also include music and guest speakers. All proceeds will benefit the Elks’ Veterans Account to aid in improving the lives of veterans and sponsoring events for them. Registration is required. Please RSVP to Mary Donnell at 978-866-7364.
Wilmington Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136, sponsored by the American Legion, are holding their Annual Signing of Christmas and Holiday Cards for Local Veterans, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Friendship Masonic Hall (32 Church Street). The scouts are also collecting toiletries, winter and other new clothing items to support hospitalized veterans, as well as unwrapped children’s toys and books for the Toys for Tots program. The Shawsheen Tech (100 Cook Street) holds Family Swim on Sundays, from12:30pm to 1:45pm. Come make a splash and enjoy some quality time together in their pool. The cost is $5 per person, with a family deal of $20 for up to 6 family members.
The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
