Below is an announcement from the Parish of the Transfiguration’s latest newsletter:
WILMINGTON, MA – The Parish of the Transfiguration’s Charities Committee is conducting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to help families in need within the St. Thomas and St. Dorothy’s parishes.
Donations can be left inside the entrances of both St. Thomas and St. Dorothy’s on Saturday, November 15, 2025 and Sunday, November 16, 2025.
Requested, non-perishable food items include:
- Gravy
- Instant Potato
- Cranberry Sauce
- Stuffing
- Rice
- Canned Veggies (corn, green beans, yams, peas, carrots)
- Chicken & Turkey Stock or Broth
- Quick Bread or Roll Mix
- Canned Fruit & Applesauce
- Coffee, Tea & Hot Cocoa
- Pancake Max & Syrup
- Pie Crust Mix & Pie Filling
- Brownie Mix
- Nuts or Chips & Dip/Salsa
- Chocolates
- Grocery Store Gift Cards (in any denomination)
If you are interested in donating a complete Dinner Basket for a family, the estimated cost is approximately $75. Monetary donations or gift cards can be brought to the Parish Office, marked “Thanksgiving,” or placed in the offertory collection. Please make call checks payable to the Parish of the Transfiguration.
