The Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club presents the 39th Annual GSBSCC Sports Card and Memorabilia Show from 9am to 3pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Admission costs $15 for adults and $10 for seniors. Children under 10 are free. Cash only at the door. There will be 375 dealers specializing in card grading and autograph authentication. Athletes scheduled to appear include Jake Peavy, Tim Thomas, Kendrick Perkins, Mark Bellhorn, John Farrell, Steve Kuberski, Don Marcotte, Sophia Jurkstowciz, Marty Moore, Bernie Carnbo and Kevin Stacom. Willow Brook Rehabilitation Center (90 West Street) is hosting a fall festival from 1pm to 4pm. This event is free, and the public is invited to enjoy an afternoon of crafts, fall treats and farm animals. Have a question? Call 978-658-2700.
The Shawsheen Tech (100 Cook Street) holds Family Swim on Sundays, from12:30pm to 1:45pm. Come make a splash and enjoy some quality time together in their pool. The cost is $5 per person, with a family deal of $20 for up to 6 family members.
The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected. WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.
CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
