The Greater Boston Sports Collectors Club presents the 39th Annual GSBSCC Sports Card and Memorabilia Show from 9am to 5pm at the Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road). Admission costs $15 for adults and $10 for seniors. Children under 10 are free. Cash only at the door. There will be 375 dealers specializing in card grading and autograph authentication. Athletes scheduled to appear include Corey Kluber, Terry O’Reilly, Stan Jonathan, Drew Pearson, Dana Levangie, Mike Millbury, John Wensink, Ellis Burke, Manny Delcarmen, Julian Tavarez, Matt Chatham, Jim Palmer, Irving Fryer and Bernie Carbo. The Wilmington High School Lamplighters Drama Guild presents “Frankenstein” at 2pm in the High School’s Large Instruction Room. The show is sold out.
The Town’s Yardwaste Center, located on Old Main Street, off of Main Street at the Woburn line, will be open from 9am to 4pm. No contractors or commercial vehicles will be allowed. The drop off of leaves and brush is permitted for Wilmington residents only. Wilmington residents wishing to use the Recycling Center will need to purchase a punch card for $15 which will be good for 5 visits to the Recycling Center. The punch cards may be purchased Monday through Friday (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) at the Tax Collector’s Office at the Town Hall at 121 Glen Road. You will be asked to present your punch card and a photo ID at the entrance to the facility.
The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Bully Prevention with the Academy of Traditional Karate (11am) and Teen DnD (2pm).
The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. 100% of all proceeds support the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal, which travels through Wilmington.
Pacific Grove (211 Lowell Street) hosts karaoke from Winnell Entertainment on Saturdays beginning at 8pm.
