Cookin’ The Books

If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes, then this group is for you! Grab a copy of the cookbook, register on the library’s event calendar, and record your recipe. Bring your dish to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes! Featured Cookbook: Easy Weeknight Dinners by Emily Weinstein.

Jobseeker Resources with MassHire

Looking for a new job? Join representatives from MassHire to learn more about their jobseeker resources and services.

Novel Ideas

Needleworkers

This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.

After Hours: Murder Mystery Party- I Love the 80’s… To Death
Friday, October 17, 7-9pm
Help the crowd and the detective figure out who ruined this totally tubular night, so everyone can like, take a chill pill. Don’t forget to wear your most righteous 80’s outfit so you can rock out in style!

Youth Programs

Story School LARP: Poseidon’s Fury
Tuesday, October 14, 6pm
Poseidon and other Greek legends have come to life and are trying to take over the Wilmington Memorial Library! Join an adventuring party, battle monsters with foam swords, solve puzzles, and level up as a hero trying to save the world. Grades 6-12.

Piñata Time with Spanish Fun Program
Wednesday, October 15, 6pm
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Spanish Fun Program! Make “your own handmade Mexican Piñata”, learn vocabulary in Spanish, sing the traditional song “Dale, dale”, and sing with Latin Rhythms by playing with the parachute! Recommended for ages 5+

Manga Tryouts
Thursday, October 16, 3:30pm
Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12

Switch It Up! Video Game Club
Friday, October 17, 3:45pm
Love video games? Come to this once-a-month video game club to play Switch games with friends! Grades 1-5

Babysitting Course
Saturday, October 18, 10am-1pm
In this course, participants ages 11-18 years old will learn the skills needed to become responsible babysitters. The course will teach babysitting safety, how to handle different situations while taking care of children. Ages 11-18

Mark your calendars for an evening with author and local sportscaster Michael Holley, on May 14th! A Boston sports journalist, author and broadcaster, Michael Holley hosts shows on NBC Sports Boston and 98.5 The Sports Hub, while teaching at Boston University. A former Boston Globe journalist, he’s also appeared on ESPN and Peacock. There will be a cash bar, book sales & autograph signing. This is a free event, open to all.

Book Store Next Door
Regular hours are back at The Book Store Next Door! The bookstore is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
