PELHAM, NH — Alan R. Serrentino, of Pelham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home. He was the loving husband of Susan (Kilbride) Serrentino with whom he shared a loving 36 years with.
Born in Saugus, MA, on October 9, 1958, he was the son of the late Rosario and the late Jean (Edmester) Serrentino and brother of the late Susan (Serrentino) Liston. He grew up in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School – class of 1977. After high school, he attended University of Lowell and went on to work at Wang Laboratories, also in Lowell, where he met Susan. Alan retired from Hewlett Packard in 2019, where he worked for over 25 years as a product engineer.
Starting out his married life, his wife and he enjoyed traveling. Some parts of the world he got to experience were Ireland, Scotland, Barbados, Mexico, China, and more. Once they felt their life was fulfilled the best it could have been, they decided kids were their dream. They embarked on an adventure of a lifetime to Siberia, Russia to meet their first adopted baby, Jillian. Then again to adopt their son, Nathan. While making their children’s lives great, the kids did the same for them.
Many summers were spent together as a family in Wellfleet, MA where Alan spent most of his time growing up. Alan cherished his time boating, fishing, clamming on Billingsgate, being a first mate on a charter fishing boat, attending hockey games and swim meets, and teaching friends how to make fresh pasta. Not only were these hobbies, they were passions. He found joy in bringing people together.
Besides his wife, Susan, he is survived by his daughter, Jillian S. Serrentino and her fiancé Anthony Huynh of Pelham, NH; his son, Nathan A. Serrentino of Pelham, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at PELHAM FUNERAL HOME 11 NASHUA RD. in PELHAM, NH, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a bereavement lunch.
