LIBRARY NEWS: Wilmington Library Announces Change In Hours For September 25-27; Bestselling Author Sy Montgomery To Visit Wilmington On September 25

Library Closures

The Wilmington Memorial Library will be closed:
– Thursday, September 25, at 5pm for WML’s author event
– Friday, September 26, 9-11am for Staff Development
– Saturday, September 27, all day for Fall Fest.

Bookends Book Group
Monday, September 22, 10am
This book group discusses contemporary books, both fiction and non-fiction, led by Library Associate Rebecca Lowe. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book. This month’s featured book is Of Time and Turtles by Sy Montgomery.

Needleworkers at Night
Monday, September 22, 6-8pm
These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

Hearing Aid Tips & Tricks
Monday, September 22, 7pm
This hybrid monthly meeting is a place for people to trade tips and tricks on how to get the most out of their hearing aids. Led by Technology Librarian Brad. You can attend in-person or virtually on Zoom.

Behind the Books: Sy Montgomery
Thursday, September 25, 7:30pm
Join author Sy Montgomery as she discusses her journey as an author! There will be a cash bar, book sales & an autograph signing. Sy Montgomery is best known for her books The Good, Good Pig and The Soul of an Octopus. The doors will open at 6:30pm.
This is a free event, open to ages 9+, and is located at the Wilmington Senior Center.

Library Card Sign-up Month
September is library card sign up month! Anyone that signs up for a library card in the month of September will get a tote bag, pen, sticker and welcome sheet.

Book Store Next Door
Regular hours are back at The Book Store Next Door! The bookstore is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
