WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Saturday, September 6, 2025:
A tree came down on wires at Parker Street and Adams Street. RMLD and Verizon notified. (5:04pm)
A caller reported possible lightning strike or transformer fire behind the Library in the parking lot. Police confirmed wires were down. RMLD and Fire Department responded. (5:06pm)
A caller reported a black pickup truck was swerving all over the road on Shawsheen Avenue, going off the road, striking a mailbox, and driving on the wrong side of the road at Shawsheen Avenue and Lake Street intersection. Truck entered Tewksbury and began being followed by a Tewksbury cruiser. Truck took off on cruiser down Salem Street, back into Wilmington. BOLO put out. Vehicle was stolen out of Wilmington. Son-in-law borrowed truck and left keys in console around 3:30pm. Owner came into station to report it as stolen. (5:17pm)
