WILMINGTON, MA — Gertrude L. Crowley (Geswell), “Trudy”, age 88, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2025.
Trudy was the beloved wife of the late George R. Crowley, devoted mother of George R. Crowley, Jr. & his late wife Pam of Vero Beach, FL, Kenneth F. Crowley of Wilmington, James M. Crowley & his wife Cheryl of Billerica, Sandra A. Claflin & her husband Donald of Burlington and Janet C. Ingram & her husband Jason of Miramar Beach, FL. Loving Nana of George III & his wife Andrea, Sean, James Jr. & his wife Paige, Patrick & his wife Madeleine, Thomas, Megan, Shannon, Brendan & his wife Jules, and Kaitlyn, “Big Nan” to her great-grandchildren George IV, Emily, Hailey, Morgan, Charlotte, and Patrick. Cherished daughter of the late Walter and Gertrude (Murphy) Geswell, dear sister of Rick Geswell & his wife Jackie of South Carolina and the late Walter Geswell and his husband Gil Silveira of Florida. Trudy is further survived by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, Inc., 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Sunday, September 14th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services for Trudy will take place at the Funeral Home on Monday, September 15th at 12:00 noon followed by interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.
Memorial donations in Trudy’s name may be made to Beth Israel Lahey Hospice, Gift Processing Center, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805.
