WHERE TO PARK? Record Breaking Turnout Expected At Saturday’s Special Town Meeting

Below is information from the Town of Wilmington:

September 13, 2025 Special Town Meeting Parking Information

Though the meeting cannot start until 9:00 a.m., we start check-in at 8:00 a.m. Coming early will help everyone!

We have noticed that the public is very interested in this article, and we anticipate a record breaking turnout. We have prepared alternative parking to ensure that any registered voter who wants to vote gets the opportunity. The Town has received permission to use the following parking lots. We will also have two school buses giving rides to the High School from 8:00 a.m. until needed. They will also be there at the end of the meeting to drive you back to your parking lot.

Parking options are:
1. Wilmington High School (we expect this to fill up quickly)
2. Saint Thomas-126 Middlesex Ave
3. Knights of Columbus (Parking for drop off Childcare)-112 Middlesex Avenue
4. United Methodist Church-87 Church Street
5. Congregational Church-220 Middlesex Avenue
6. Library-175 Middlesex Avenue
7. The lot behind the library
8. Book Store next Door to the library-185 Middlesex Avenue
9. Abundant Life-173 Church Street
10. Student Park/Fourth of July Parking lot-142 Middlesex Avenue
11. Old Senior Center-15 School Street
12. Arts Center-219 Middlesex Avenue
13. Rotary Park-Adelaide Street
14. Roman House Lot-161 Church Street
15. Wildwood School Lot-182 Wildwood Street
16. Softball field lot-159 Church Street entrance on Wildwood Street

The two buses will have two routes. The buses will have pickup spots. Some of the parking lots will not have pick up spots.

I have marked the bus stops in the image below. Bus Stop Pickup Locations are:
Bus 1 order of pickups:
1. Wildwood St at the entrance to the funeral home parking lot
2. Wildwood St at softball field lot
3. Wildwood School front door (bus will reverse direction and take a right onto 62)
4. Art Center on Middlesex Ave (reverse direction at Whitefield Field)
5. Congregational Church loop
6. WHS Events Entrance

Bus 2 order of pickups
1. Old Senior Center
2. Knights of Columbus
3. St Thomas Church in the front loop
4. Rotary Park
5. Methodist Church
6. WHS Events Entrance

Bus Transportation will not be provided from: Abundant Life – Roman House – 4th of July.
