WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for August 22, 2025

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, August 22, 2025:

A caller at the Omni Gym on Burlington Avenue reported that while lifting weights, his Apple watch accidently dialed 911. Police confirmed it was accidental. (5:31am)

A caller reported a vehicle went onto the island in the Town Common and took down one of the street signs. DPW notified. Involved vehicle was tracked down at Reading Cooperative Bank on Middlesex Avenue. (10:24am)

Baby squirrels fell from their nest on Marcia Road. Animal Control Officer created a makeshift nest and put in tree. (2:15pm)

A caller reported she was at McGovern Hyundai earlier in the day and believes someone from the dealership stole a scratch ticket out of her vehicle. Police responded. Person accused to taking the scratch ticket denied doing so. Caller will follow up with lottery and general manager. (3:35pm)

A vehicle got stuck on the train tracks on Salem Street. Driver may have had a diabetic emergency. MBTA Police and Keolis notified. Driver was transported by Fire Department. (6:47pm)
