Below is a press release from the Wilmington Farmers Market:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Farmers Market is excited to invite the community to a special celebration of National Eat Outside Day on Sunday, August 31, 2025 with a fun and festive “Picnic Day” theme!
To honor the spirit of outdoor dining and support our incredible local vendors, the market will spotlight picnic-perfect products this week. From fresh fruit and baked goods to refreshing beverages, and savory snacks, there’s something for every picnic basket.
As part of the celebration, market-goers can also participate in a Picnic Basket Giveaway. Attendees will receive one free raffle ticket at the market, and one lucky winner will be chosen at 11:00 AM to receive a basket filled with hand-picked goodies. Even if you don’t win, you’ll still have plenty of time to shop the market and create your own perfect picnic.
“We’re always looking for fun ways to support our vendors and connect with the community,” said Christine Canevari, President of the Wilmington Farmers Market Board of Directors. “Picnic Day is a great chance to celebrate the season, discover local favorites, and enjoy the simple pleasure of eating outdoors. Everyone’s invited to bring a blanket, grab some market goodies, and picnic right on the Town Common with us.”
The Wilmington Farmers Market takes place every Sunday from 10AM – 1PM at on Town Common. Bring a blanket, grab some market-fresh treats, and celebrate the joys of eating outside!
