Future Of Buzzell School (Former Senior Center); Police Recognitions; Early Voting For Special Town Election & More On Agenda For August 18 Select Board Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, August 18, 2025 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on Monday night’s agenda, including:

— Building Reuse Committee Chair Dennis Kelley & Vice Chair Jamie Magaldi will present the findings of the Viability Assessment of the Buzzell School (former Senior Center).

— Deputy Police Chief Brian Pupa will recognize Officer Meghan Sousa, Daniel Furbush, and Wilmington Police Explorers for various recent accomplishments. Pupa will also discuss motorized scooter safety and rules of the road.

— The Select Board will consider approving Voting Early Hours for the Special Town Election on September 16, 2025.

— The Select Board will consider approving an Electric Car Show from RMLD in the Town Common parking lot (August 24); Block Party on Lucaya Circle (September 13); Car Wash Fundraiser for WHS Boys Basketball Boosters at Town Common parking lot (September 28); placing a Menorah on the Town Common for Hannukah (December 11-22); Car Wash Fundraiser for WHS Football Boosters at Town Common parking lot (June 13); and Car Wash Fundraiser for WHS Boys Soccer Boosters at Town Common parking lot (September 13, 2026).
