NEW STEW: Watch August Episode Of WCTV’s ‘Book Stew’ Featuring Author Janice Deal

Below is an announcement from Wilmington Community Television’s “Book Stew:”

On the August Book Stew episode, author Janice Deal returns for her third visit to discuss her novel The Blue Door.

A mother, Flo, must leave town and create a new life for herself when her daughter Teddy, 14, responsible for the death of her high school teacher, is remanded to Juvie Hall. When Flo’s car breaks down in a small Southwestern town, she stays on and becomes a cashier at a market, employing the same “people skills” she had previously used as a social worker. Flo tensely awaits a first visit from Teddy after she is released, thinks about where she might have gone wrong as a parent, and searches for her beloved dog, who has gone missing.

(Wilmington residents: be on the lookout for our own beloved Market Basket cashier Gayle Orlanzo in a cameo appearance!)
