Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:
WILMINGTON, MA — Richard C. Fuller, Jr., “Richie”, age 63, of Lovell, ME, formerly of Wilmington, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 5, 2025.
Richie was born in Fitchburg, MA, on November 10, 1961; he was the dear son of the late Richard and Louise (Elliott) Fuller. Richie was raised in a large and loving family at the family homestead on Shawsheen Ave. in Wilmington. He attended Wilmington Schools, played youth sports, and was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1979.
Richie was a hard worker. For many years he worked for his father who owned Fuller Bros. Concrete. He moved to Maine 35 years ago and continued in the construction field working for Dunlea Construction Company.
Throughout his adult years, Richie, enjoyed playing in several golf and softball leagues; he was a competitive player and loved to “hang out” with the guys following their games. One of the highlights of playing in the softball league in Maine was to play alongside writer Steven King who was just “one of the guys”.
In his spare time, Richie also looked forward to playing cards with family and friends. He had a “poker face” when it came to playing a great hand and a mean competitive streak no matter what game he was playing.
Richie will be fondly remembered as the ultimate New England Patriots fan; he attended countless games throughout the years and was fortunate to be a fan during the 20 plus year Dynasty. Richie was very serious when it came to watching the Pats games; all were welcome to join him, but everyone knew not to interrupt or call during a game. He just loved his “Pats”.
Richie looked forward to spending time with family and friends; he had a quiet demeanor but a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Richie was the beloved brother of Karen Sferrazza and husband Paul, Christine Hall and husband Robert, Brian Fuller and wife Kathryn, Steven Fuller and wife Heather, and Kevin Fuller and fiancé Kelly Ambrose. Dear Uncle of Paul, Scott, Jennifer, Aaron and fiancé Bailey, Olivia, Patrick, Payton, Paige, Caila and husband Richard, Nicholas, Kourtney and husband John, Kaitlynn, and the late Kymberly. Great-Uncle of Skylar, Cameron, and Jared. Nephew of Linda and Eddie Dunlea, Eddie Fuller, Eddie and Gigi Elliott, Dougie and Norine Elliott, and Dennis and Sue Kelly. Richie is further survived by many cousins and friends in Massachusetts and Maine.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home on Monday, August 25th from 12:00 – 2:00 pm, followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the family lot at Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Richie’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
