Below is a press release from the Kiwanis Club of Wilmington:
WILMINGTON, MA — The Kiwanis Club of Wilmington has established a new Mini Food Pantry in Wilmington. It is located at the Congregational Church at 220 Middlesex Ave.
Available 24/7, it’s located outside at the left side of the church and contains donate non-perishable food. If a person is in need of some food, that person can access the pantry and take what they need. The pantry is not intended to be a “shopping experience”, but an emergency life line.
This Mini Food Pantry was built by Shawsheen Tech students and painted by Scouts from Wilmington Pack 136. The Scouts also made the first donations of food.
Residents of town are encouraged to help by donating / dropping off food directly at the Mini Food Pantry or by PayPal. A list of items is posted on the side of the Mini Food Pantry and is also available on the club’s website.
Residents who need more help are encouraged to contact the Wilmington Community Fund. They run a full fledged Food Pantry and have been helping people since 1945.
(Right front) Scouts Marvel, Brave and Oli flank Kiwanis Club President Stu Neilson as MJ and Molly hold their end of the ribbon (left). In the rear on the left side are Leo Woodside, Gene Trout and Don Rich then Mary Kelly and Steve Connor. To the right are Karen West, Mark Fregeau, Robin Theodos and John Wallace. The tall fellow in the rear is State Rep. Dave Robertson.

Getting the Mini Food Pantry ready is Marvel demonstrating her skills with a paint brush.
All stocked and ready! Someone stepped up right away and filled the Pantry.
