WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for July 17, 2025

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Thursday, July 17, 2025:

  • Jessica Marie Plante (33, Tewksbury) was arrested for OUI Liquor and Number Plate Violation. (1:56am)
  • A passing motorist called to state the train gate came down on top of another vehicle and vehicle continued on. Gate fell to the ground. This occurred at Main Street and Middlesex Avenue. Police notified Keolis and responded to scene. (9:41am)
  • A car struck a pole on Grand Street. Vehicle towed. RMLD notified. (9:49am)
  • Oscar Tavares (36, Lawrence) was arrested for Possessing Non-Large Capacity Firearm; Importer Storage of a Firearm; Possession of Ammunition Without A FID Card; and Carrying A Loaded Firearm Without A License. FedEx management found a firearm in vehicle belonging to employee, in violation of company policy. (10:34am)
  • Konti Branch (43, North Andover) was served a summons for Operating A Motor Vehicle With A Suspended License and Speeding. (5:03pm)
  • Elizabeth Fox Cherry (40, Stoneham) was arrested for OUI Liquor; Negligent Operation Of A Motor Vehicle; Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon; and Carrying A Dangerous Weapon. Cherry was involved in a 2-vehicle crash near Rocco’s on Main Street. (8:28pm)
  • A Burlington Avenue caller reported a party was attempting to light a tree on fire. They were wearing a black ski mask and had lighter fluid. Police responded. Not as reported. Party was trying to get rid of a bee’s nest. (9:54pm)
