Below is a press release from the Wilmington Farmers Market:
WILMINGTON, MA — Ever wondered what Santa Claus does during the summer months? Spoiler alert: he shops at the Wilmington Farmers Market! On Sunday, July 27, 2025, join us for a special “Christmas in July” event sponsored by the Academy of Traditional Karate, where you can meet Santa himself and find out if he prefers the beach or the snow.
Decked out in his summer attire, Santa will be spreading holiday cheer and enjoying the market’s fresh, local produce. Visitors can expect a festive atmosphere with decorations, music, and holiday-themed treats, making it feel like a winter wonderland right in the middle of summer.
We are excited to announce that Blue House Santa will be there from 11AM to 12PM to take pictures with visitors and will be accepting donations for local charities. We will also be collecting unwrapped presents for We’re One Wilmington. Don’t miss your chance to capture a special moment with Santa and support these good causes!
“We’re thrilled to host Santa at our Farmers Market,” said Christine Canevari, President of Wilmington Farmers Market Board of Directors. “It’s a unique opportunity for the community to celebrate Christmas in July, support local vendors, and enjoy a fun, family-friendly event.”
The Wilmington Farmers Market, located on the Town Common at 140 Middlesex Ave, will be open from 10AM to 1PM on July 27th. In addition to Santa’s visit, the market will feature a variety of local produce, handmade crafts, and delicious food vendors.
This festive event is proudly sponsored by the Academy of Traditional Karate, an esteemed institution dedicated to promoting physical fitness, discipline, and the traditional martial arts values of respect and perseverance.
Don’t miss your chance to celebrate the magic of Christmas in July! Break out your shorts and holiday spirit, and join us for a memorable day with Santa at the Wilmington Farmers Market.

About the Academy of Traditional Karate:
The Academy of Traditional Karate teaches classical Okinawan karate with a special focus on the traditional values behind karate such as focus, confidence, self-discipline, respect, honor, and goal achievement as well as the more physical benefits including self-defense, fitness, and stress reduction. We offer a world-class curriculum that spans the entire range of karate students, from very young beginning students to more advanced adult black belts.
About Blue House Santa:
We are a local teacher and a nurse. We started Blue House Santa in 2020 when we thought no one would get a Santa photo. We did socially distant photos in our driveway. When 2021 rolled around we were still doing it. We hope to do it long into the future. We do not charge for photos, but we do take donations. Those donations go back into the local community. Our stated goal is to help as many people as we can!
About We’re One Wilmington:
We’re One Wilmington (WOW) was founded with the simple yet powerful mission of strengthening our community one good deed at a time.
