Fall Fest, National Night Out, New School & More On Agenda At July 14 Select Board Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Select Board meets this Monday, July 14, 2025 at 7pm in Room 9 of Town Hall.

There are some noteworthy items on Monday night’s agenda, including:

• The Select Board will hear from retiring Police Chief Joe Desmond on this summer’s National Night Out plans.
• The Select Board will consider a request from Tavern in the Square for a one day alcohol license to sell beer and wine at Fall Fest.
• The Select Board will recognize Wilmington’s Lia Price, a 2025 Shawsheen Tech graduate, for her achievement at the SkillsUSA National Competition.
• The Select Board will receive notification of a large number of layoffs at Azurity Pharmaceuticals on Woburn Street.
• The Select Board will sign a deed to sell town-owned land on Sheldon Avenue after a 2024 Annual Town Meeting vote.
• The Select Board will appoint a Select Board member to serve on the MSBA Elementary School Building Committee. (Former Select Board Greg Bendel previously served as 1 of the board’s 2 representatives to the Committee.)
• The Select Board will consider signing the warrants for the September 13 Special Town Meeting and September 16 Special Election for the new school vote.
• The Select Board will consider the request of RMLD to hold an Electric Vehicle Car Show on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 9am to 2pm.
• The Select Board will consider the request of the WHS Boys Lacrosse Team to use the Municipal Parking Lot for a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9am to noon.

The Select Board will be meeting in Executive Session from 6pm to 7pm.
