Rose embraced motherhood and cherished her family. In 1969, they moved to Wilmington where they lived happily for decades. She went onto work at Kenne Lighting, in an accounting capacity and retired in 1991, before unretiring and working at T. J. Maxx as a sales clerk. This job gave Rose much happiness and joy, as well as friendships that lasted years, finally retiring at the age of 85.

Rose was most proud of being a matriarch of a large loving Italian family. Her family was her entire world. She was an avid knitter and loved working in her garden. Rose was a phenomenal baker and would always come bearing her many wonderful treats. As a young mother she was very active with her children with the PTO, cub scouts and as a CCD teacher. Even through her retirement Rose volunteered two days a week at the Wilmington Public Schools because of her love for children. She was affectionately known as “Mrs. Rose” by the students that she worked with. Rose was a loving, gracious woman, who treasured family time.
