WILMINGTON, MA — Rev. Peter L Jeffrey, of Wilmington, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away on June 7, 2025.
Beloved husband of the late Katherine (Maguire) Jeffrey. Survived by daughter Andrea Jeffrey, sister Patricia Zehner and brother Patrick Zehner, sister Cynthia Michelson and brother Joseph Michelson (d). Also survived by Lisa Ventura, Jeff Gillis and Mike Becker, Jessica & Brandon Pessolano and Luca Pessolano, Nancy Barrett, the Maguire family, the Beck family, as well as numerous cousins nieces and nephews. Adopted “dad” to Eddie Parsons and numerous others!
Family was everything to him. Friend to so many, spiritual counselor. JB, Java, Bucky and Lyric are all waiting for him on the rainbow bridge. Traveled to Japan, Europe, Caribbean and the Holy Land. Enjoyed good music, Starbucks, good bourbon, and good red wine. After a long career in management information systems, answered his call to be a Deacon earning him the family nickname “The Freaking Deacon” while taking care of Kathy after her heart transplant including dialysis, living every single marriage vow.
Employed by MA/Com Cobham 1979-2009, Deacon in the Episcopal Diocese of MA since 2011. Served at St Anne’s and St. John’s Lowell, Church of the Good Shepherd Reading.
Visiting hours will be held at the Douglass, Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home 25 Sanborn St. (corner of Woburn St.) Reading on Friday June 20th from 2-6pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church 14 Treble Cove Rd. in Billerica on Saturday, June 21at at 11AM.
