Library Closure
Wilmington Memorial Library will be closed Wednesday, June 25th 5-8:30pm and all day Saturday, June 28th for the Fun on the Fourth Celebrations.

Bookends Book Group
Monday, June 23, 10am
This book group discusses contemporary books, both fiction and non-fiction, led by Library Associate Rebecca Lowe. Please stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured book. This month’s featured book is Better Luck Next Time by Julia Claiborne Johnson.

Needleworkers at Night
Monday, June 23, 6-8pm
These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

Hearing Loss FAQs with an Audiologist (Hybrid)
Monday, June 23, 7-8pm
Brad’s hearing aid tips and tricks has a guest star this month: clinical audiologist, Dr. Hartman-Joshi. She’ll go over some most frequently asked questions she gets. As a Clinical Audiologist, Dr. Hartman-Joshi has a decade of experience serving the continuum of patients with hearing loss, from newborn to seniors.

Wilmington Night on the Town Common
Wednesday, June 25, 5-8pm
Join the library and the Wilmington Fourth of July Committee for another fun event! There will be food, lawn games, community booths, a dunk tank, live music, prizes, and more!

Needleworkers
Friday, June 27, 10am-12pm
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, June 23, 10am
Join Community Teamwork Family Resource Network for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

Reading with Worms with Land’s Sake Farms
Tuesday, June 24, 10am
Learn about our soil helping friends – worms! This program features a worm-themed story, a dirt making activity in which we learn about composting and soil composition, and the chance to play with real live worms from the farm’s vermi-composter. Grades Pre-school-Grade 5.

Teen Decoden Phone Cases & Keychains
Tuesday, June 24, 6pm
Try out this maximalist Japanese style of crafting by decorating a phone case or keychain with frosting-like glue and sparkly accessories! Grades 6-12

Outdoor Time for Twos

Storytime has moved outside for the summer! Time for Twos includes books, rhymes, music and movement for children aged 2. Age 2

Manga Tryouts
Thursday, June 26, 3:30pm
Have a say in manga purchased for the teen collection with this club! During each meeting, we’ll sample 1st volumes of different manga and vote on whether it should be added to WML’s collection. Grades 6-12

Read to Stormy
Thursday, June 26, 4-5:30pm (15-minute sessions)
Come practice your reading skills with Therapy Dog, Stormy! Sign-up for one 15-minute session per child or family. Grades K-6

Big Wheels
Friday, June 27, 10am
Check out fire engines, construction vehicles, police cars and more! Climb inside and ask their operators questions. The first 100 kids to stop by the library table will receive a voucher for a free 9oz slush of their choice from Kona Ice! All Ages

WML’s Summer Reading is Back!
The Summer Reading Program is here! Register and log your reading online at wilmlibrary.beanstack.org or grab a paper log at the library. Throughout the summer you can collect prizes and raffle tickets by reading and completing activities. This year’s theme is Level Up at Your Library, running from June 23rd to August 13th.

Save the Date: Author Talk with Jarrett J. Krosoczka
Join author Jarrett J. Krosoczka on July 22nd at 6pm, as he shares his popular books, including kid’s graphic novel series, Lunch Lady and teen graphic memoir, Hey, Kiddo, with a live drawing demo, Q&A, book signing, and meet-and-greet. This event is for all ages and will be held at the Wilmington Senior Center.

Check Out Our Library of Things This Summer
Did you know Wilmington Memorial Library circulates more than just books? Check out our Adult, Teen and Youth Library of Things for fun and useful items to use this summer. Book Store Next Door
Regular hours are back at The Book Store Next Door! The bookstore is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am-4pm.
