OBITUARY: Kenneth L. Cripps, Sr., 85

WILMINGTON, MA — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth L. Cripps, Sr., 85, of Nashua, NH, formerly a longtime resident of Wilmington, MA. Ken passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ken was the beloved husband of 60 years to Beverly Cripps (Sinclair). He was the son of the late Lawrence Kenneth and Grace Darling Perkins and was raised by his cherished Grandmother Mildred S Cripps. Loving father to the late Dwayne Cripps of Lexington, MA, Donna Elmore of Clute, TX, Kenneth Cripps Jr. and his wife Tina (Panniello) of Orlando, FL, and Lorraine Gikas of Nashua, NH. Doting grandfather to the late Justin Cripps, Felicia Gikas, Amanda Gikas, Ryan Gikas, Ryan Sullivan, Devon Lippe, and Jared Cripps, and great-grandfather to 9. Ken had 6 siblings, Arthur, Tommy, George, Chris, Paul and Laura and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ken proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 – 1961. He was a Life member of the Wilmington VFW #2458 and Tewksbury Wilmington Lodge of Elks #2070. Ken was the Former President of the Wilmington Senior Baseball League and had a love for coaching the kids Little League Baseball.

In addition to spending time with family, Ken enjoyed camping at Ferndale Acres for over 30 years where he and Bev made many friends. He looked forward to family cook outs, going bowling or playing horseshoes, and building models which he was very talented at.

Family and friends will gather for Visiting Hours at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, MA, on Monday, June 16th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Ken’s life will take place at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 17th at 11:00 a.m. followed by his interment with Military Honors at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken’s memory may be made to Local Heroes, Inc., P.O. Box 536, Wilmington, MA 01887 or to the American Cancer Society, 3 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
