OBITUARY: Linda M. (Dodge) Sullivan, 62

Below is an obituary from Nichols Funeral Home:

WILMINGTON, MA — With broken hearts, we share the passing of Linda (Dodge) Sullivan, a beloved daughter, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 62. Her life was defined by love — for her family, for nature, for adventure, and most of all, for her late husband, Robert “Bob” Sullivan, the love of her life. A part of her heart left with him, and now, they are together again.

Linda grew up in Wilmington, Massachusetts, with her parents and four siblings, where she spent her early years surrounded by family and close friends. She attended Shawsheen Valley Technical High School, where she made her mark by running track and breaking the school’s mile record — a testament to the strength and determination that would define her life. While at the Tech, Linda pursued her passion for baking through the school’s culinary program, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of baking and sweets. During summer vacations, she worked as a lifeguard at Silver Lake, spending her days under the sun, keeping swimmers safe, and enjoying the close-knit community she held dear. That same spirit of dedication and care carried through every stage of her life. She was known for her strong work ethic and determination, embracing a variety of roles with pride and purpose. Among them were her many cherished years at Purity Supreme, where she worked her way up through the bakery department and took great pride in her craft. Always eager to learn and grow, she later attended business school, where she earned a certificate in recognition of her hard work and achievements. Whatever she set her mind to, she approached with focus, heart, and perseverance — always making a difference and touching the lives of those around her.

She made her home in Boxford, Massachusetts, where she lovingly raised her daughter Kayla and faithfully stood by her husband with unwavering devotion. A true homemaker, she created a space filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Together with her husband Bob, she delighted in taking Kayla and her friends on countless adventures — from trips to the mall and sunny days at the beach to weekends in the camper and unforgettable family vacations. These joyful moments of fun and togetherness were among her most treasured.

She had a kind, generous spirit and a beautiful smile that could light up a room. She made friends wherever she went, and her warmth made others feel instantly at ease. She loved being outdoors, especially at the beach, and found simple joys in feeding the birds and watching nature from her window. She cherished her time at homes in Maine and Florida and found great joy in bringing her family all together. She also loved to shop — always finding the perfect little treasures or gifts, always thinking of others. She lived with intention, always trying her hardest, and always giving her best.

She is survived by her daughter Kayla and son-in-law Craig Nally, her grandchildren Madeline and Juliette, her parents Sandra and Francis Dodge, her brother Robert Dodge and wife Laurie, sister Susan Brady, sister Jenny Solimine, brother-in-law Michael Benson, mother-in-law Bernice Sullivan, sister-in-law Holly Pelton and husband Brian, brother-in-law Dana Sullivan and wife Jennifer, sister-in-law Lisa Salem and husband Bill as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Her family finds comfort and peace in knowing that she is now reunited in heaven with the love of her life, Bob Sullivan, his father Robert Sullivan and brother Brian Sullivan, her beloved sister Kerry Benson, cherished niece Riley Benson, and her brother-in-law Scott Solimine, as well as her favorite dog “Sara Sullivan”. The thought of all of them together again brings solace during this time of sorrow. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched, the family she raised, and the love she so freely gave.

She will be missed beyond words, remembered always, and loved forever.
