WILMINGTON, MA — Faye M. (Sullivan) Jenkins, age 69, a long-time resident of Wilmington, passed away on May 9, 2025.
Faye was born and raised in South Boston where she made life-long friends who became family. Faye became a registered nurse at Boston State College and worked at Boston City Hospital early in her career and continued to Lahey Hospital where she worked for many years. Her mastery and passion in nursing was in laser cosmetics and dermatology. She was a fierce advocate for quality and safety as the industry emerged.
Faye was a friend to all, making connections wherever she went. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors on Arlene Ave, playing pool at the Knights of Columbus, and catching up with her ‘Southie Girls.’ Above all, Faye enjoyed spending time as “Mim” with her three grandchildren, sharing her favorite places like Castle Island and Silver Lake.
Faye was the devoted mother of Cara L. Lombardi of Hudson, NH, and the late Vinnie DiMauro, loving “Mim” of Cody, Macy, and Lena Lombardi, cherished daughter of the late Walter T. and Irene M. (Dietsch) Sullivan, dear sister of the late Johnny Sullivan and the late Melvin Ward, mother-in-law of the late Matthew Lombardi.
Family and friends will gather for Visitation at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Thursday, May 15th from 4:00 -7:00. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 16th at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
Memorial donations in Faye’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
