WILMINGTON, MA — Team Blue of ERA Key Realty Services and co-sponsor DaMore Law raised $2,140 for veterans during their Annual Kentucky Derby Party on May 3, 2025 at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus.
Funds raised went to Run to Home Base, a nonprofit that provides life-changing care to veterans, service members and their families. Each year the organization sponsors a 9K run and 5K run/walk through some of Boston’s most scenic neighborhoods, ending with participants crossing home plate at FenwayPark.
The Kentucky Derby Party featured festive attire, a raffle table full of locally donated prizes, contest for choosing the race winner, and awards for Best Hat and Best Dressed attendees.
“We’re proud to support Run to Home Base and the incredible work they do for our veterans,” said Lori Penney of Team Blue. “This event is our way of giving back to the community while celebrating something fun together. Knowing the funds raised will help change lives makes it even more special.”
Guests enjoyed great food, drinks and a lively atmosphere, all while contributing to a deeply meaningful cause, she said.
Team Blue will participate in a Run to Home Base event on July 26, 2025, when participants will cross home plate at Boston’s Fenway Park in honor of our nation’s heroes.
