Residents Asked To Attend Annual Town Meeting On May 3

Below is a message from the Town of Wilmington:

Dear registered voters and community members,

Saturday’s May 3rd Annual Town Meeting is fast approaching and Town Departments are busy preparing. This year’s meeting has a number of important matters to be decided by your votes including budgets, capital projects, resident-petitioned articles and zoning. Information on these articles, recommendations from Town committees and information on the procedure of the meeting can be found by visiting https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/town-meeting.

The 9 AM May 3rd meeting is also bringing the Planning Board’s zoning proposal for the State’s Section 3A MBTA zoning compliance to vote, once again. Following the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court decision in the Milton, MA case that ruled in favor of the zoning requirement, the deadline for compliance was extended to July 14th. This meeting will be an opportunity for Wilmington to consider new information since the last Town Meeting and vote on the proposed zoning articles. A comprehensive list of resources and information has been compiled through our website https://www.wilmingtonma.gov/planning-conservation/pages/section-3a-mbta-communities-zoning for you.

Lastly, this year’s meeting will feature a family friendly room, where parents can attend Town Meeting while watching their children from a convenient space away from the bustle of the meeting floor.

It’s our hope you are able to attend the 2025 Annual Town Meeting to participate in the votes that drive our community’s future.
