Dear Residents,
I am pleased to share my support for the re-election of Kevin Caira to the Select Board. I know Mr. Caira as an experienced and caring leader who will continue to lead our town in the right direction.
Kevin has served on the Select Board since 2016 as a consistent, responsive leader. I greatly appreciate his work on the Select Board so far, however, I find Kevin’s prior volunteerism to be a remarkable trait. As a volunteer, I have learned one thing: time is the most valuable thing one can give, and Kevin has given a massive amount of his time to the betterment of Wilmington.
Kevin has proven himself as a champion of youth sports, having coached Wilmington Little League and Wilmington Recreation Department basketball. On top of that, he also coached Wilmington High School softball and football. At the high school, he has been a supporter of the Wilmington Band Parents, an organization that enhanced my time in the WHS Band several years ago. Kevin has also served as president of the Wilmington Sons & Daughters of Italy and as a member of the Wilmington Knights of Columbus. There are many other committees and activities Kevin has volunteered for in the past, in addition to the ones I have named.
As a Selectman, Kevin has served as Chair and has set a civil and honest tone for the community. He has been an advocate for conservative budgeting strategies and supplementing the fiscal health of our town. He has also worked with two town managers, several Selectmen, and has faced numerous challenging issues brought before the board. Context and experience are important factors to me when evaluating candidates for public office. Kevin has, and will continue to, bring a breadth of historical knowledge to the board.
Through his volunteerism, track record, and leadership qualities, it is easy to assess that Kevin Caira is well-qualified and deserving of being re-elected to the Select Board. Please join me in casting one of your two votes for Kevin Caira on or before April 26.
Respectfully submitted,
Joseph Maselli
