Join us for our last Coffeehouse Concert in the series. Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson, have crafted Hungrytown into a true artistic hybrid, able to hold Celtic and Americana, ballads and psychedelia, sunshine and darkness, joy and despair–not only within the same album, but within the same song.

Arbor Day Tree Seedling Giveaway

We will be giving away one hundred White Spruce tree seedlings. One per family while supplies last.

Needleworkers
Friday, April 25, 10am-12pm
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.

Bake It Till You Make It: Oreo Truffles

Learn to make no bake Oreo truffles! Join us for an in-person cooking demonstration and mental health program where mental health advocate Dayna Altman shares her story of struggle and healing. Leave with a tray of truffles and some tools for your mental health. Grades 6-12.

Read to Stormy

Earth Day Upcycle

Looking for a group to play with? Join us for in person Dungeons and Dragons at the library. You may also participate on Discord, a private server. We use DnDBeyond to track and create our characters. Grades 6-12

Wilmington Memorial Library is hosting best-selling novelist Chris Bohjalian whose newest book The Jackal’s Mistress comes out in March! This first event in our new offsite author series will feature a presentation by Mr. Bohjalian, book sales/signing, a cash bar, and light refreshments. Annual Poetry Contest: Submission’s Open Now!
Celebrate National Poetry Month by submitting to our Annual Poetry Contest: Verse vs. Verse! This year’s theme revolves around play, gaming, and connection—just like our Summer Reading Program! Don’t Miss Out on the 2025 Town Wide Yard Sale!
Don’t be left out! In the past, over 60 Wilmington households have participated each year and hundreds of shoppers found bargains at the annual Town Wide Yard Sale. This year’s sale is Saturday, June 14th from 8am-2pm. Applications are open May 1st-21st, and the seller fee is $20. Applications will be available online and at the library starting May 1st.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten
Prepare your child for success in kindergarten and beyond by reading! We invite newborns to preschoolers to join us in 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. Log the books you’ve read together and automatically earn badges and prizes for every 100 books.
