Wilmington Police Asks For Public’s Help As They Investigate Suspicious Incident on Radcliff Road

Below is a press release from the Wilmington Police Department:

WILMINGTON, MA – On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at approximately 10:08 p.m., the Wilmington Police Department received a 911 call from a resident on Radcliff Road reporting a suspicious individual banging on their door. The caller stated that they observed a man on the property who appeared to be carrying a firearm.

Wilmington Police officers responded immediately to the scene and were assisted by the Woburn Police K9 Unit, the Reading Police Drone Unit, the Tewksbury Police Department, and the Massachusetts State Police.

The suspect was described as a larger male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants. A white sedan was seen leaving the area around the time of the incident and has been identified as a vehicle of interest.

As part of an active investigation, the Wilmington Police Department is exploring all possibilities, including whether this incident may be connected to the ongoing “senior assassin” game currently taking place among local students.

We are asking residents in the area of Radcliff Road and Lake Street to review any home surveillance footage from the late evening hours of April 5 from 9:30pm-11:00pm. Detectives are especially interested in any sightings of suspicious individuals or vehicles that may be related to this case.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Wilmington Police Department Detective Unit at (978) 657-8082. Tips can also be submitted confidentially through our website at https://wpd.org/anonymous-tips/.
