OBITUARY: Veronica A. Castelli, 100

NATICK, MA — Veronica A. “Tootie” (Campbell) Castelli, a longtime resident of Natick and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was 100 years of age.

Veronica was born in Boston on August 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Dominic and Margaret (McLaughlin) Campbell, and the beloved wife of the late Evo P. Castelli. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School.

Veronica worked for the Bell Telephone Company in their Accounting Department. She also oversaw her mother’s Charlestown apartments, hiring workers and even wallpapering and painting. She enjoyed reupholstering furniture and ceramics. She was a terrific homemaker, an avid dancer, and loved to swim. In her youth she played basketball, roller-skated, and summered at the family cottages in Wilmington and Revere.

Veronica was the devoted mother of Paul Castelli and his wife Tina of Framingham. Loving grandmother of Marco Castelli, Sabrina Castelli and Antonio Mele. Sister of the late Margaret “Peggy” Waldron, Sarah “Sally” Walsh, Winifred “Winnie” Geysen, Thomas “Packy” Campbell, James “Red” Campbell, John “Jocko” Campbell, and Francis “Zip” Campbell. She is the dear aunt of her many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Veronica’s life by celebrating her Funeral Mass on Friday morning March 21st in St. Patrick’s Church, 44 E. Central St. (Rt. 135) Natick at 11 o’clock. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Natick.
