STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Shawsheen Tech’s National Honor Society Inducted 28 Students During Ceremony

BILLERICA, MA — Shawsheen Valley Technical High School proudly hosted its National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony, welcoming twenty-eight outstanding students into its prestigious ranks. The ceremony was attended by faculty, staff, administration, as well as the inductees’ family members and friends, making for a truly memorable evening of recognition and celebration.

The National Honor Society recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This year’s inductees have not only excelled academically but have also made significant contributions to Shawsheen and its community.

Shawsheen Tech extends a heartfelt congratulations to the following members of the Class of 2026 who were inducted into the National Honor Society: Rachel Botte, Maria Cafaro, Ava Cailler, Jessica DeChellis, Jailyn DiNuccio, Sophia DiTonno, Brendan Ferrone, Samantha Fisher, Maura Krueger, Charlie Mastronardi, Lily Middleton, Paige Nickerson, Maeve O’Brien, Karina Palencia-Marroquin, Jacoby Patterson, Rayssa Pereira, Olivia Quinn, Christina Rainone, Kai Rogers, Isaac Schmidt, Gemma Sweeney, and Kristal Wells.

Additionally, Shawsheen is proud to recognize the following seniors from the Class of 2025 who were inducted: Madison Chew, Leila Hurley, Lauren Mazzei, Roy Plewa, Logan Sproul, and Juliana Welch.

The induction ceremony highlighted the commitment and dedication of these students, as well as the core values of the National Honor Society. Principal Cook and faculty members spoke about the significance of this achievement and encouraged the inductees to continue striving for excellence in all areas of their lives.

Shawsheen congratulates all the newly inducted members and their families for this remarkable accomplishment. The school looks forward to witnessing their continued success and contributions to both Shawsheen and the broader community.
